Based on the latest official firmware XXKG1 Gingerbread 2.3.4
New Angelom Kernel 6.0 (XXKG1 - 2.6.35.7 - CWM 4.0.0.8) with undervolt for power saving, Multi-touch sensibility fix
+ other cool feactures included as cifs Module and Scheduler Deadline.
Max overclock is 1504Mhz (boot with 1200Mhz)

It is highly recommend to use SetCPU to avoid any kind of wakelock issues when the device is coming out of sleep (some users have reported that even with the stock firmware the GS2 suffer this problem, after long test i report here how angelom and me managed to get it solved). On the Main Application page set as below:

Max:1504MHz (if you want overclock it otherwise leave it at 1200Mhz)
Min:500MHz
Scaling: ondemand
check Set on Boot

Create a new profile and select "Screen Off"
Profile: Screen Off
Max: 500
Min:500
Scaling: ondemand
Priority: 100

By using this profile your device get stuck at 500MHz while sleeping and there is no problem to wake it up!
Normally, while you are using your handset the CPU freq. scales from 500 up to 1504MHz depending on the load of the cpu!
You can play around with different profile infact it is also possible to set a temp threshold and set the CPU freq at that given value and so on..

I'd like to point out that with this new angelom Kernel it is possible to stay stable at 1504Mhz having a vcore value similar to the one used for stock CPU freq. Tha's because it's undervolted by default.


This is a full wipe ROM, you will lose apps, accounts, WiFi passwords, sms, etc therefore please don’t complain and do a full backup of your system!

Just install it with CWM, wipe only dalvik cache!

Troubleshooting

Market is not able to install because it says its not enough memeory
Do a backup of your sdcard first!!!

Download Samfirmware ROM Stock 2.3.4 XXKG1 (password: samfirmware.com)
Fire up Odin and flash: PDA PIT PHONE CSC make sure you select repartition
Once your phone reboot do a full reset: *2767*3855#
Reboot in download mode and in Odin flash this kernel CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.zip in order to get CWM
Now follow the above installation guide (wipe data/factory reset, dalvik, ...)
